I am a qualified ECE and mother with lots of experience working with children and am First Aid and CPR certified. I previously worked for the YMCA childcare centre at Sir William Osler school in Dundas and decided to open up Cottontails for more personal relationships with the children in my care and their families!
Cottontails Daycare provides a fun, safe, caring, homelike atmosphere for your child while at the same time developing their, physical, emotional, intellectual and social skills.
The children are challenged in many different learning areas such as, reading, writing, blocks, science, creative, etc...along with activities to support the use of fine and gross motor skills.
Healthy lunch and snacks are provided that are both delicious and nutritious!. The children get plenty of exercise as we spend a good portion of our days outdoors! And a set quiet/nap time allows for the children to relax and rest.
At Cottontails it is known that each child is an individual with different feelings and experiences. I praise good behavior and use positive reinforcement to encourage good choices. I applaud learning through play and allow the children to make their own choices to support the topic of interest to create fun ideas and activities to keep the children stimulated.
Cottontails is in a safe neighborhood close to safe parks. We have a large backyard for outdoor play and our screened in porch is lined with a large chalkboard so the children can get fresh air rain or shine!
