Riversong Dayhome offers a creative, interactive program within a warm, friendly home environment for children ages 3-9 years. Our property includes a bright, spacious playroom, large kitchen, outdoor play structure, garden and play space, as well as our very own little art studio!!!
We are an adventurous group and embark on two field trips per week and daily outdoor/indoor gross motor play. These outings will be signed off and posted, including everything from the Calgary Zoo and Sikome Lake Beach to day trips such as the Drumheller Museum and U-pick Farms.
Projects and early literacy training encompass play and hands-on activities thematically developed based on the individual interests of each child. We are currently working on exploring the natural world, having constructed our own glass compost/worm farm, clay grass heads and a small wildflower bed! We also offer a french immersion aspect, as many of our children attend Varsity Acres School!
Monthly rates include Science Center Passes, art supplies, outing shirts, four photo disks per year and all other field trip expenses. Outings which exceed our typical entry costs, such as a theatrical production during the International Children's Festival will incur an additional cost, but will be offered as an option well in advance to all families and will not be undertaken, unless all parents have given their consent and agreed to the additional expense. Annual zoo passes can be purchased from myself for $20 and are yours to keep, along with the science center passes, as they are child specific.
I am currently accepting part-time ($55/day) or full-time ($1050/month) clientele. Before and after-school care is available for kindergarten classes at Varsity Acres School (p.m. time slot only). The cost is $975/month, as the child is only in school for a couple hours per day and will still be receiving their snacks and lunch/activities and outings along with the other full-time children.

Due to the nature of our program and our frequent outings, all children must be potty-trained or well on their way to accomplishing this milestone. They must also be ready and willing to truck through the day without a regular nap, as we do not offer a scheduled "nap time."
We also have an assortment of pets including a lovely border collie named Merlin, fish, 2 bearded dragons (within a locked tank) and 2 adorable ferrets! Loads of fun - but not for a child who has allergies, so please bear this in mind as well. |
