My name is Kristy and I have two sons ages 9 and 2. I decided to start a daycare over a year ago instead of returning back to work in Toronto as a legal assistant. I live on Farewell Street near the corner of Olive and Harmony. I walk to and from Clara Hughes Public School and offer before and after school daycare as well as full time with reasonable rates and flexible hours.
I have a daycare set up in my basement (smoke free) with plenty of books, puzzles, toys, a magnetic chalk board on the wall and tons of activities and crafts to do. I will teach the children their abc's and how to read as well as crafts and play time. I have a large backyard with outside toys for the children to play with. I will also have outtings to Early Year Centres and other local activities in the area if acceptable to all parents. I serve healthy snacks/meals and will provide a journal each day to help the parents know what the days activities were and what they ate etc.
