I am currently caring for some fantastic little people. I am experienced and reliable and have clear policies and guidelines.
Most importantly, I love kids! I am active and energetic and love the energy that children bring to their day. I have a lot of experience with children in a variety of settings and am comfortable dealing with all ages and temperments. I have provided daycare services from my home previously when my oldest was young, volunteered in schools, taught children's yoga (I am a RYT in the Kripalu tradition and a certified children's yoga teacher), been a Girl Guide leader, tutored elementary and junior high students, and I am a mom to wonderful school-age children.
We have a large, dedicated space in our home for childcare purposes but do make use of our whole home. Our daycare area is bright, cheery and inviting. Our days have a comfortable rhythm and include circle time; songs and stories; puppet shows; creative play; crafty fun; learning activities (preschool and early learning); yoga; and plenty of free play. My programming combines traditional early learning activities with a holistic and creative one. In the past, I have successfully delivered an integrated program for both toddlers and preschoolers.
We spend time outdoors each day and enjoy nature adventures, checking on our bird feeders and their visitors, playing in our large backyard or neighbourhood walks. We have a lot of backyard toys, including ride on toys, sand box, water table, slides, climbers and more!
