I have been running a home daycare for 12 years but have been involved with children for over 25 years. I have 2 children of my own, a 22 year old boy & 12 year old girl. I have an Early Childhood Education Certificate, Business administration, accounting, audit and information technology degree from Conestoga College. I taught Sunday school for 7 years while my son attended and was a foster parent for quite some time. I also have a certificate from the Region of Waterloo as a community nutrition/peer health worker and have worked in different community centres teaching child nutrition, English as a second language and establishing collective kitchens.
I have many years experience tending to the needs of multiples and have had a set of twins in my care for the last 4 years.
I live within walking distance to Forest Heights Community Centre, the KPL and Meadowlane PS that has a playground. I also have a fully fenced back yard with a wooden play structure, fisher price play center and many little tyke’s houses and toys.
I try to provide pre-school aged children with a good head start into their school careers by teaching social and academic skills in a fun loving way.
