The philosophy of Garden of Play and Light: is to nurture, encourage and support children to blossom into being comfortable, confident and open to who they are are as people and how they work in the world.
We have a full-time and part-time care team. One is a labour & postpartum doula, yoga teacher and holistic coach, who is also a mom of two. Our part-time care member is an ESL teacher, translator and Yoga Mentor/teacher. Both committed to creating and environment rich with sensory exploration, self expression, environmental learning and play.
Facilitation of monthly, weekly themes that will included input from the families so that each child's interests can be included in the exploration and growth process.
Special outings and in house visits from other community educators will be included in the rhythm and routine of the care. (extra costs may apply)
Yummy home cooked meals (mostly vegetarian)- and opportunities for the children to participate in learning about their food and creating food.
The day is balanced, providing the opportunity for children to actively explore their environment. A lot of outdoor play, interaction and observing followed by framing the child’s days with rhythms, weaving between active and quiet times:
