**My daycare is a Christian home daycare, though I welcome children of all backgrounds to my home. Our family’s faith is central to who we are and we want that to always to be part of our home. This means that Christian principles are applied to my care like honesty, integrity, grace at mealtimes, reading Bible stories, respect for others and reflecting God’s love to each other.
**I’m a mother of 4 school-age children, who are all in school now, though my biggest joy and desire is to stay home and take care of and nurture children. I have over 18 years of childcare experience through church children’s ministries, previous home daycare provider, in-home babysitting and being a parent for 13 years.
**As a previous working outside the home mother with having children in daycare, I know what a big decision choosing a daycare can be and how important it is that your child is well cared for and happy! I have been on both sides of the situation, which has given me insight to both the needs of a parent and the importance of the role of a childcare provider.
**My daycare is run throughout my large, air-conditioned, smoke-free, fully baby proofed home, with big bright windows, not in a basement. Children in my care will be treated as I do my own, treated with love, patience, calmness, and gentleness. The happiness and well-being of the children in my care are my top priority at all times. Children entrusted in my care are treated as part of our family. This would be your child’s home away from home!
**The day will consist of a routine that will be flexible around the individual needs of the children. 2 nutritious snacks and lunch served daily, I hold an update-to-date Safe Food Handlers Certificate and have 9 years experience in child care nutrition. Arts & Crafts, Games, Story Time, Imaginative Play with 3 Large Playrooms, Outdoor Play in a Large Fenced In Yard, Neighbourhood Walks, Baking, Nap Time (in playpens or toddler beds in own private quiet room) / Quiet Time (for non-nappers with reading, music or a movie). We do educational activities and crafts, but care is structured as a nurturing home environment opposed to a school environment.
**I provide full-time, part-time, before & after school and hourly care for children from 3 months to 12 years. Temporary and occasional care available if all regular spaces are not currently filled.
**Full day is $32.00 per day (up to 9 hours, for all ages) and Hourly care is $5.00/hour, minimum 2 hours per day for any time less than a full day of care. Sibling discount of 20% for additional siblings. Contact me for more information.
