If you are looking for an environment where your child is free to explore, learn and play at their own pace then our home is right for you! I strongly believe in child directed and play-based learning and follow the children’s cues about what and how they’d like to learn. Weather permitting we spend a good part of our day outdoors exploring the world around us. Our days are filled with walks downtown, mornings at the park and trips to the Early Years Centre. While at the house we do arts and crafts, read books and do a daily circle time. Our daycare hours are spent on the main floor of my home so there is no clinical feeling – it just feels like home! I provide ‘real food’ nutritious lunch and snacks – minimally processed and full of fruits and veggies!
A few things you should know about me: I have a 2 year old son of my own (and currently two toddlers in my care part time), I have an honours degree in Psychology and have been in childcare since I started babysitting at the age of 12 (including time at a daycare centre, as a nanny overseas and my current home care), I am certified in child cpr and have a current police check, and I love spending my days with the kids!
I look forward to hearing from you with any questions, for further details or to arrange a meeting and visit to my home!
