Hello, my name is Esther and I am currently looking to fill spots from Monday-Friday, from 7:30-5:00. I am located just past the Sunrise Centre in Kitchener.
I have an Early Childhood Education background and have been working in the field for over 20 years. The past seven of those year I have been a Home Child Care Provider. My experience prior includes working within in Licensed Child Care Centres as well as a Supervisory Position overlooking the operation of a Licensed Child Care Centre in the Waterloo Region. My First Aid and CPR and are up to date as well as my Criminal Reference Check. I have four boys of my own ages ten, eight, four and one. My three oldest are in school so I have my one year old during the day. There are schools nearby that provide transportation in my area and the stops are right in front of my house, or depending on the school, across the street or just down a minute walk.
Our daily schedule includes a variety of sensory activities, crafts, group time, reading and outdoor play in our fenced in backyard or at a nearby park just over a five minutes walk from my home. I do follow a schedule each the day, but there is plenty of room for flexibility as some activities will take more time than others. Each day I provide two snacks and a warm lunch following a rotating menu over a four week period. The menu and daily schedule is available to take home should you decide to send your child here. Receipts are given yearly for the total amount.
I feel each child develops at their own pace and should be allowed to explore their environment, experimenting and learning self help skills and social skills. These skills will help with their transition into school, having the right tools to start a new chapter in their life. Activities in all areas are provided and planned based on their developmental needs, giving children a chance to develop new skills. This gives them confidence when tackling a new challenge!

Admission conditions
We do have one cat who is 6 years old and declawed. She has been around children her whole life and is very good with children. She doesn't stick around for long as she likes to hide out and sleep.
