Welcome to Stepping Stone Quality Childcare, where every step your child takes is guided by the safe, nurturing, experienced and loving hands of a professionally qualified Early Childhood Educator. We are conveniently located at 1018 Rocky Harbour Cres. close to all three of the existing elementary schools in Riverside South. I bring thirteen years of experience working with children in many different childcare settings where I have had the opportunity to guide and shape children's development from the ages of six weeks to twelve years old. In bringing that same quality of care into a home environment, I am able to combine the same benefits with an individualized program plan based on your child's age and stage of development and interests.

Philosophy
We have developed a peaceful atmosphere, which is welcoming to children and their families. Our goal is to implement an emergent curriculum approach to the program. Children’s interests and play experiences will guide the curriculum development. Paying close attention to the social/emotional development of your child, we want to encourage and promote healthy self-esteem, problem-solving skills, socialization, exploration, and creativity.
Hours of Operation
The daycare is open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm – Monday to Friday for children from 12 months to 10 years of age.
AM Kindergarten Children: Before school and afternoon care.
PM Kindergarten Children: Before and after school care.
School Age Children: Before and after school care.
PA/PD Days and School Holidays: Full day care is offered.
March Break: Full day care is offered.
Summer Vacation: Full day care is offered.
Admission conditions
Admission Policy
A non-refundable deposit for 2 weeks of daycare fees is required upon signing a contract with Stepping Stone Quality Childcare to secure your child's placement in care. This deposit is non-refundable should you change your mind on having your child(ren) begin care with us (unless I can replace your spot without any loss of income incurred to me. This deposit will be used towards your fees during your child(ren)'s last two weeks of care once you no longer require care anymore and four week’s written notice has been given. (Arrangements to pay the 2 week deposit in up to 4 installments are available if needed).
The following forms need to be completed and signed before your child is considered registered. All forms must be updated annually:
• Child Care Agreement
• Parent Policy Handbook (each section read/initialed)
• Permission to Administer Medication/ Sunscreen Form
• Permission to Take Photographs Form
• Child Intake/Information Sheet
• Child Medical Form (a copy of proof of up-to-date immunizations is required)
• Field Trip/Travel Permission Form
Once all forms are completed, an integration schedule will then be set up for your child. It is important for your child to enter the program slowly for their success and well-being. The first four weeks of childcare are to be an adjustment period. It is my responsibility to let the parent know if the child seems unhappy or the arrangement is unsatisfactory for any other reason. It is the parent's responsibility to let me know the same. The parent or I may terminate the contract anytime during the adjustment period in writing on or before the fourth week of care starts.
