At Grow in a Garden home Child Care, we take our inspiration from Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and other educational approaches that promote allowing children to be their own facilitators. Children investigate confidently as the natural explorers they are. The adults act as supporters for the children as we present possibilities to allow the child to make their own choices, and to ensure safety.
We stongly encourage and promote outdoor activity, including playing and gardening in our large vegetable garden.
All food served at Grow in a Garden Home Child Care is organic, with an effort made to use as much locally grown produce as possible. All meat provided is organic, local and grass-fed.
All the cleaning products that are used to clean the centre are all 100% natural products that are antiseptic and safe for children.
MUSIC
Weekly musical sessions incorporate playing musicical instruments with peers, sing alongs, practicing rhythm, as well as listening and dancing to recorded and live music.
DRAMA, DANCE & MOVEMENT
Weekly drama classes allow for children to explore their creativity, and imagination through dramatic adventures incorporating puppetry, movement and yoga.
COOKING
We want to promote a love for healthy, natural food; a love for growing it and a love for cooking it! We collaborate as a team and create a new menu item every week.
