Philosophy:
I strive to provide a program that supports each individual child emotionally, socially, and developmentally. I believe children learn best in an emergent, play-based environment that fosters creativity, curiosity and independence. Activities and learning centres will be based on the children's current interests, and be adapted to meet the needs of each child. All programming will encourage development of social skills, literacy skills, and numeracy skills in each individual child.
About Me:
I attended Niagara College for ECE in 2005 and have been working in the field since 2007. I am passionate about children and early learning, and truly enjoy helping children learn through their daily experiences. Our home is clean, smoke and pet free and located on a quiet street close to the park. I only use natural cleaning and personal care products, and we are cloth diaper and baby wearing friendly!
Qualifications:
*Early Childhood Educator
*First Aid and CPR Certified
*Police Clearance and References available
Nutrition:
Healthy, nutritious snacks and lunch will be provided daily.
Program Information:
Daily activities will include circle time, creative art, sensory, outdoor time, free play in toy centers, and language, math and literacy will be incorporated throughout the day. Toys are rotated every two weeks or based on the children's interest levels. We have a fully fenced back yard with lots of gross motor toys and activites, and are located on a quiet steet close to the park!
Program Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM
10 months and up
