I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and Standard First Aid with CPR C plus AED certified. I have over 20 years of combined working experience as a teacher in Vietnam, ECE teacher in a Toronto day care centre and as a home day care provider.
I utilize the main floor of my home to operate my day care in which the children have access to lots of age-appropriate toys such as building blocks, Lego, a variety of games, and crafting supplies. I also challenge the children with various puzzles, books, and other fun learning projects. I have a large fenced in backyard that the children enjoy twice a day, which includes a jungle gym, swing set, water and sandbox, and plenty of space for other fun activities. I encourage the children to get lots of fresh air and exercise in order to stay active, healthy, and most importantly, to enjoy themselves.
Children love playing and learning at my day care because I believe in positive reinforcement and rewarding good behavior. More importantly I try to make learning as fun and easy as possible. By incorporating silly songs and games I am able to further develop their motor and learning skills. For younger children I teach colours, shapes and numbers. As their learning progresses, I begin to teach spelling, reading and writing. My teaching principles are to develop children at a young age so that they may build confidence, self-respect, and independence as well as good learning habits for their future.
I provide fresh hot and nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks in a smoke and pet free environment. As well, if your children attend Lord Elgin Pubic School, I can provide pickup and drop-off services.
In closing, I am a very proud mother of three children who have graduated from University with Honors. Having successfully raised my children into adulthood, I am now able to commit all of my time and energy into my day care and the children within it. The foundation I created for my own children is the one I strive to instill in all the children in my care.
I invite you to contact me at your earliest convenience so that we may discuss any questions or concerns you may have. It would also be a great opportunity to better get to know one another, as I completely understand that finding a caregiver for your child is a stressful and important process.
***Fees are very competitive and negotiable depending on your needs. As low as $5/hr.*** |
