•About Me: I would describe myself as a hard-working, friendly, understanding, caring, patient, and dedicated person. I am very good with children and program planning. My educational achievements include a Level Three Certificate in Child Development Supervision. I am current in my First Aid/CPR Certification. I also have a degree in Education from my native Philippines, where I also have three years of Elementary Teaching from there. Here in Canada, I have more than three years on daycare experience and have been entrusted with the care of a autistic child on a part-time basis. I also have nanny experience as well.
•My Family: My family is the inspiration for my goals which is why I am family-oriented emphasize helping them whenever possible. I am the second oldest of five siblings. My family looks at me as the dependable, problem-solver. I grew strength from my mother because she once worked eight years in Hong Kong as the sole provider of our family’s needs. Because of all these circumstances, I have always been simple-natured.
•My Program: My program planning will be based on the interests and developmental stages of children’s skills upon observation of each child individually. Skills that will be emphasized include: Fine and gross motor skills, listening, peer interaction and taking direction among others. I will include a daily routine which will involve a mixture of free play, physical and structured activities (circle time, story time and outdoor activities).
•My Beliefs/Values: I love being part of childrens’ development. The children under my care will feel my compassion and genuine concern for their well-being. My dayhome will be organized and I will show them loving discipline.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
