At WeeBee Learning Child Care I will provide a fun, loving, nurturing home based daycare.
I am looking to fill some spots for school aged children ages 4-10 in the December (Dec 20-Jan 7th) with the exceptions of the Christmas Stat holidays. (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day), March Break and the Summer months of July and August. I have 13years plus, experience working with children and children with special needs. I am a mother of two children (11yrs and 7months). I have worked at the Ottawa Treatment Centre, Daycare, and for the last 11yrs as an Educational Assistant in a school setting assisting children with special needs. I have have excellent references from previous day care parents that I have provided for.
I provide an area in my home much like a "kindergarten" room. We engage in circle time, music and movement, arts and crafts, drama, outdoor play, dramatic play, outings and outdoor activities. I incorporate learning for the children with letters, number, colours, and basic academic skills which will help them transition when ready for kindergarten or refresh for those already a pro . I believe this will help their personal growth both mentally and physically. There is a schedule provided for the parents and a menu plan for the week. I provide homemade and nutritious snacks and lunch for the children. My daycare is centred towards the children with a lot of time during the day for them to play independently and use their imagination. I encourage positive behaviour and reinforce with re-direction, praise and positive reinforcement. I enjoy having fun with the children at the end of the day....that's what its all about!
I have a current police reference check, CPR and First Aid.
