I am an elementary school teacher on extended parental leave operating a fun family daycare from my home. I have a one year old son and a three year old daughter.
We live in a quiet neighbourhood in North Vancouver. We have a park on our block and are within walking distance to Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge and Ecology Centre!
I provide:
-a fun and educational program with a focus on early literacy and number skills
-structured and age-appropriate learning activities geared towards kindergarten readiness
-circle time incorporating calendar activities, poetry, rhymes and songs
-music, dance, arts & crafts, and story time
-unstructured, creative play time as part of our daily routine
-a large fenced backyard for outdoor play time
-lots of fresh air, neighborhood walks and much more
-healthy meals and snacks, including breakfast –community outings to the park, library, drop-in gym, and Lynn Canyon
–parent communication book to record daily activities, meals, naps, etc.
