I have over 15 years’ experience working with children from o to 12 years of age. I am married and a loving, caring mom of 4 children. (19, 16, 10, 5) I have worked in centers as well as in schools. Working with children is my passion and my gifting. I have 7 years of experience as a home daycare provider both here in Ottawa and in Quebec. I have worked with child care agencies both in Québec and Ottawa.
I believe that each child is a unique individual, with skills and talents that needs to be encouraged so that they can reach their full potential. I am all about making learning fun and enjoyable, therefore in my daycare we are always engaged in hands on activities such as messy play, fruit salad, jello , play dough, water play etc. It does not matter the age of your child there is always an activity for them to enjoy.
I focus on building self -esteem, showing empathy, taking responsibility for actions, learning social skills such as turn taking, sharing, self -help skills and being an active group member. I believe that children who learn these skills early are better prepared for kindergarten and possess the skills to express themselves and interact with peers with more confidence and are surer of their abilities.
