"I am not a babysitter; I gave up sitting on babies a long time ago."
A provider is not a babysitter. A babysitter comes into your home for a few hours and you tell her what you want her to do for your child. A family childcare provider welcomes you and your child into her home. She plans meals and organizes children's activities. She will keep your child safe. She attends schooling to further her education on child development. She will appreciate your family values and child rearing practices. She is more likely a mother herself. She is a professional and you can rely on her judgement.
I am an experienced, loving and educated (ECE Level 1) childcare provider and live in the Glencairn Village/Parkridge area. I have a genuine love for children. I'm also a parent of two wonderful teenage kids, 18 and 13 yrs. I am within walking distance (3 blocks away)to Henry Braun Elementry school. There is available bussing to Henry Braun, St. Theresa, St. Andrew and Wilfred Walker Elementary schools.
