I Offer:
A 2nd loving family for your child - characterized by sensitivity, high standards, and flexibility
engaged play, building on child's interest at developmental level, as well as free play.
A wide variety of toys and learning materials
stories, music, dancing, singing and crafts.
An entire ground floor of the house including: a large bright playroom, the living room and the large eat-in kitchen.
Fenced backyard with a sandbox and a small play structure.
Positive approach to discipline – teaching not punishing – natural consequences - “No” used only for situations involving safety.
Daily communication.
Respect for individual differences.
Outings at least twice daily; as weather permits.
No exposure to television or video games.
Much experience with successful potty training
Compliance to current OPH guidelines
Diet:
I read all ingredient labels carefully and seek to offer whole grains and natural foods without additives.
Vegetables: broccoli, peas, cauliflower, carrots, corn, cucumber, peppers & pickles
Fruits: fresh berries, bananas, grapes (cut up) watermelon, mangos, apples & mandarins
Grains: whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread & crackers, rice crackers
Milk and alternates: milk, cheese, yogurt
(Parents to supply formula, as needed)
I will offer milk or alternate as parents instruct.
Typical daily routines are:
Play-time/story-time as all our friends arrive, snack, outdoor play-time, story
time/play-time, lunch, nap/quiet-time, snack, out-door (park) play-time and pick up
I am a licensed home daycare which has access to the “$10 a day” program. The base daily rate is $46.99 -25.75% = $22.50.
Parents to provide diapers/wipes; Hours are 8 to 5:30.
I charge for the following holidays:
New Years Day
Family Day
Easter Friday & Monday
Victoria Day
Canada Day
Civic Holiday
Labour Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas & Boxing Day
Additionally should Christmas Eve occur on a weekday, the daycare will only be open until 1PM And the remaining hours to be charged as a holiday.
I charge for 3 vacation weeks a year as well as the days between boxing day and New Years Day. I book the weeks in the January of each year.
I charge for 10 sick days and will give as much notice as possible when a sick day is required.
We are big-time pet friendly, 2 little dogs, and 2 cats. They all keep out of the daycare, mostly!
I Expect:
your child to comply with current OPH guidelines with regards to symptoms of possible illness
communication of any concerns immediately so I can address them
you to take your child to hospital for any minor emergency (IE a few stitches)
Parents agree to complete all required AFCS forms (I am affiliated with the Andrew Fleck Child Services.) as needed.
