Welcome to Kelly's Daycare!
It is my business to provide children in my care with a clean, safe and friendly environment where they can play and learn with guidance and tender care while their parents are at work. I am contracted by the licensed daycare agency Little Leaders.
About Me
As an experienced childcare provider of more than 17 years, and a mother of 5 older children, I am well qualified for this job. I take great pride in being a Professional Childcare Provider, not a baby-sitter. I have been trained in First Aid and CPR, hold a 5-year certificate in Safe Food Handling, and have a clean criminal record check. Every year I attend child-care related workshops, such as behaviour management, speech and language, positive parenting or arts and crafts in order to continue my professional development.
Environment
There is no smoking allowed in my home at any time. There are battery operated smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on all floors. In-home daycare activities take place throughout the ground floor, and outside in my fully fenced and secure backyard. Our cheerful play area is full of lots of fun toys and activities, including crafts and educational computer games. In addition we go on occasional outings to the nearby playground, and on neighbourhood walks. Please note that we have a very small, very friendly, cockapoo dog in the house.
Food and Social Skills
Nutritious meals and snacks are provided for the children. Positive behaviours are encouraged by using praise, respect, re-direction and positive re-enforcement.
Statutory Holidays
Kelly's Daycare is not available, and does not charge, for statutory holidays and the three days between Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Openings
I am currently filling the following space:
* A full time space for a child who is at least 24 months old on their start date. $180/week.
* Get on my waiting list for September 2018, 12+ months at start date.
I NEVER schedule more than six children in my care at any time, and no more than two of those children will be less than two years old. |
