Good Friends Child Care Enables Infants and Toddlers to develop to their fullest potential in an enriched environment by providing a safe and nurturing program.
Our centre has been carefully designed to ensure it is a safe, comfortable environment that will accommodate the abilities and needs of all children. Our goal is to promote good health, safety and nutrition.
Centre staff will provide:
* Snacks(fruits, cheese, dry foods like cracker or cheerios) twice a day
* A clean, well-maintained and safe environment
* Opportunities for learning how to take care of their bodies and develop self-help skills
* Opportunities for both rest and exercise
* Opportunities for indoor and outdoor activities
We use a variety of activities, practical life materials, and learning to help your child accomplish the skills. The children naturally seek order and independence through movement and purposeful activity.
Our activities are not only designed to help young children enjoy learning but also develop positive attitudes towards themselves and others. Here are some samples of activities your child will learn at our daycare center.
* Circle Time (twice a day) : During circle time, children will learn about weather, numbers, color, and etc with a weather chart and a calendar.
We discuss with the children the weather outside. We let children look out the window and then give questions them such as "What is the weather outside?", "Is it raining outside?", "Is snowing outside?"
Next we focus on the calendar. We make a felt calendar with numbers and ask questions such as "What is the date today?" and "What day is it today?", children will learn numbers naturally.
* Art : Art is a very important part of the classroom and of the child's cultural education. It includes painting, drawing, rubbing and stamping etc.
