WHAT PARENT SHOULD EXPECT
Handing over your precious child(ren) to a caregiver takes a lot of courage and a level of trust on the part of the parents bestowed on the caregiver. To this end, a parent can expect a certain level of services or comfort from the caregiver.
Some of what a parent can expect from A+ FAMILY DAYCARE is as follows:
Open Communications: We provide parents with frequent updates of child(ren) progress as they are available. Parents are encouraged to voice their option in relation to their child(ren) and to asked questions as needed.
Open access to center: Parents are advised and encouraged to visit the center or drop in at anytime except during the NAP SESSION when all children are retired. This session is between the hours of 1:00 PM noon to 2:30 PM.
Safety: A+ FAMILY DAYCARE takes all possible precautions to keep the children at the family center safe. These include emergency procedures such as detailed fire escape procedures, critical illness response and physical facility security.
Confidentiality: All communications between the parent and the caregiver are considered private/confidential except otherwise stated. All communications in regard to the child(ren)’s welfare or activity are also confidential except in cases where such child(ren)’s action will affect the well being of other children in the center.
Advance notices of proposed changes: All proposed changes that will affect the availability of my services would be communicated to all affected parent as necessary. In most cases, proposed changes will be on a regular scheduled time throughout the year.
Respect of parent wishes: Parents are advised and encouraged to provide the caregiver with information on matters such as discipline, TV watching and toilet training. If caregiver cannot abide by parent wishes, the parents will be advised of such.
Dependability: As a working parent or not, parent demand a great deal of dependability on the part of the caregiver. At A+ FAMILY DAYCARE, backup caregiver’s staffs are available in emergency situations.
