At the moment, I am looking to see if there are enough people interested in a part-time summer program for their pre-kindergarten/kindergarten age children.
Located in Barrhaven, I would offer 3 weeks of full-day care using many of the philosophies, and learning strategies as those outlined in the Full-Day Kindergarten Program developed by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
This program would aim to prepare children for the transition into junior kindergarten, or allow them to maintain some of the structure that they experienced in JK in preparation for the SK program.
The program would emphasise creative play, development of age appropriate learning/social skills, and outdoor activities.
