Hi there!
My name is Krystal and I have been operating my dayhome for two years now and absolutely love my job!! I have decided to offer my home to parents that work for the BOE starting in September 2014. Just one of my features will be to offer care for the school year and have NO holding fees/charges for Christmas Break, March Break and Summer Holidays. This way when you are off work you can have the time with your little ones and not have to pay for childcare that you do not require. However, I will be open for all P.D. days.
A little bit about myself:
I am a lucky mom to two beautiful boys aged 2 and 4 (my oldest attends Dr. Emily Stowe P.S. full-time) whom also love the day home. We are a very sociable family and love including others in our daily lives.
I received my Child and Youth Worker diploma in 2005 where I excelled in courses such as, Child Development, Social and Family Dynamics, Psychology and Crisis Intervention. I loved my program but to be honest when it came time to live the life, day to day in a field that can hold such tragedy I just wasn't made for it. I love children, love guiding, helping and teaching them, but, unfortunately I am the person who brings work home with them. I ended up working in the medical field where I assisted a family M.D. and them finished off as a medical technician in a cardiology lab. It was after the birth of my 2nd son that I decided it was time to follow my dreams and work with children again. I haven't looked back since!!
Another important bit about me is that I love music. I am a former piano teacher (just on hiatus) and music is a big part of our home. We have lots of songs around circle time, dance party's and of course if a child shows interest some time at the piano.
Some other features my dayhome offers:
*An energetic and loving caregiver that will ensure your child feels safe and comfortable
* An extra emphasis on manners and learning about respect for oneself and others
* A clean, toxin-free environment
* Healthy lunch and snacks that follow the Canadian Food Guide
* A bright main floor play/music room
* Large lower level playroom for interactive free play
* Weather permitting outdoor play in a large fully fenced backyard as well as a beautiful park only steps away
* Pre-school educational program that features learning circles, ABC's and 123's, arts and crafts, song and dance to help prepare for JK/SK
* Birthday and Holiday Celebrations
* First Aid and CPR level C certified
* Clean Criminal Check
* Yearly Receipts
* Excellent References Available
This is just a few of the features that you can expect from my dayhome. If you would like further information or to set up an interview please feel free to email or contact me at my posted phone number.
Thank you for considering me in joining your extended family.
Sincerely,
Krystal |

We also have a small member of our family, his name is Howie and he is our child friendly, hypo-allergenic Malti-Poo. He is wonderful with children and when he's had enough of playing chase he ventures to his quiet time place. :) |
