I provide nutritious and delicious lunch and snacks!!! I will make sure they NEVER go hungry!
I run a semi-structured daycare. Some things differ from da to day depending on the weather, activities planned, etc.....Our days are very busy! This is a basic schedule that I follow:
7:00 - 9:00 Arrival time - Breakfast at the table. Individual activities such as books, puzzles, and free choice of toys. Children structuring their own play gives me time to get older children off to school, tidy up from breakfast and prepare snack and craft for later in the morning.
9:00 - 10 Imagination play. I will have "picnics" with the children making pretend food, have pretend shopping trips etc. This is get on the floor time with the children.
10 - 10:30 Snack Time
10:30 - 12:00 Craft time, story time in a circle, puzzles, colouring, reading books, outdoors, puppet shows, etc.
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch Time
12:30 - 1:00 Story time or other wind-down activity, preparation for nap time for younger children, bottles, changes, etc.
1:00 - 2:30/3:00 Naptime - older children quiet time with books, occasional movie, table activities, etc.
3:00 - 3:30 Wake up, wash up and changes
3:30 - 4:00 Snack Time
4:00 - 5:30 Free play, dancing to music, maybe outdoors again, getting ready for home time.
Free play means that the children are free to play with their choice of toys, books, each other, me, themselves, whatever they are in the mood for! I am always very close by and always willing to help them play, and play along with them. |
