My name is Michelle and not only do I have 16 plus years within child care I am also a mother to a 10 year old.
16 plus years experience which includes an ECA to Kindergarten students, private nanny and most recently been providing care out of my home. I have experience caring for multiple children at once which have ranged in ages from newborns to older school age children. I am ECE trained and have completed majority of the courses but have not received my diplomacy. First Aid and CPR trained. I have not obtained a police check as of yet, as I have not been required to but with that being said... have no problem to obtain. I have a very extensive resume with excellent letters of reference which are available upon request.
I offer reasonable rates for both full time and part time and can be on a weekly or daily basis. Also included is a parent's handbook which outlines my policies, shows my rates, and includes medical permission forms, emergency contact and family info.
My home is smoke free and located within the prime core of the beaches area. South of Queen Street, I am steps to the beach and many parks and playgrounds. Libraries, schools and drop in centres/play places are also within steps away. I do have a small dog that is a shih Tzu (Montana) who is the most gentle, friendly and happiest dog ever. She just loves children! She is a hypoallergenic dog and even people who have had dog allergies have not been affected by her. I understand not all children feel comfortable around animals at which case, I can have here be separated within another area of the home. I do not have a yard but find that being close to so many amenities in the area that it has not been foreseen as an issue to any families. I have a large room which is designated as the play room which is filled with many toys, games, books, arts and crafts etc.
During the days your child will be engaged in many activities with a lot of emphasise put on outdoor play and being active with in the community. Daily outings to local parks, beaches, library visits, and drop in centers will always be a part of the day. Healthy and nutritious snacks and meals will be provided throughout the day, focusing on fruits and vegetables, whole grains and dairy products with limited sugar. Special diet requests can be accommodated.
