Hello and a very warm welcome to Anke Wilson’s Daycare!
Thank you very much for taking the time to check out my website.
I am a Mom of a 1-year-old boy and a 13-year-old daughter that loves children. I am a very experienced high quality childcare provider for kids between 10 months and 10 years. I certainly have a police check, first aid training and never take more than five children.
I offer a non-smoking, safe and nurturing environment. I stick to a daily routine to help the child build confidence and independence. This is how a typical day in Anke Wilson’s Daycare looks like:
In the morning, the children arrive and are greeted with appreciation and respect. Then we play a bit inside. We play hide and seek, build towers, cook in the children’s kitchen, engage in pretend and role play etc.
Then we usually go outside. I have easy walking distance access to four playgrounds. We stay outside for approximately an hour. After our return home, I cook lunch. While I am preparing lunch, the children are allowed to watch TV. This is the only time of the day.
Healthy homemade nutrition is very important to me. I cook a hot meal every day and serve nutritious meals and healthy snacks that are high in vitamins and fiber and low in fat. I don’t serve food from a can or microwave, I don’t deep fry food and I don’t serve junk foods or snacks. That’s how I take care of my family and that’s how I will take care of your child as well.
After lunch, the smaller children nap and the older ones enroll in quiet activities like coloring, solving riddles, puzzling, reading with me etc.
When everybody is up again, we have a healthy homemade snack together and either go outside once more (I have a nice backyard) or play inside. Now it’s time for physical action: we dance, build, run, sing and busy ourselves with role play.
I believe children need a certain framework of rules. Within that framework, I support the individual development and needs of each child while encouraging everyone to be a precious part of the group.
Our family loves animals: we have a cat, a small dog and several fish. The children usually enjoy the presence of the pets very much, and at the same time they learn how to treat living creatures with dignity and respect.
We are a family that speak both English and German and more languages are welcome in our home!
One more thought: Honest, open and timely communication with the parents is key for a successful cooperation between the parents and the daycare provider. I always appreciate open words and feedback from your side and I will provide it as well.
Thank you very much for giving me the chance to present Anke Wilson’s daycare. I would love to hear from you! |
