Welcome to The Children’s House, a beautifully prepared Montessori inspired home daycare.
My name is Terri and I am a certified Montessori Early Childhood Teacher with my MACTE Diploma. I am a firm believer in Maria Montessori’s approach to the education of young children which believes in nurturing curiosity, creativity and imagination. I believe that each child is an explorer within their environment, a carefully prepared environment conducive to learning and designed to stimulate the children’s interest and encourage both independence and social interaction. Materials and curriculum centre around Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Culture, Geography, Science, French, Art, Music & Drama.
I have a deep passion for teaching children. It is my mission to create safe, stimulating, creative, and joyful learning experiences for every child. I believe that every student is unique and deserves to experience the joy of learning.
I have extensive experience teaching children. Prior to completing my Montessori Teacher training course, I spent ten years teaching overseas in Seoul, South Korea. I am also a mother of two boys, ages 2 and 5.
