I've been a daycare provider for 15 years. I provide a loving and caring environment for the kids to play, develop, learn new skills, create lasting friendships and be a part of the family.
We go to story times at the library, play groups, parks, walk along the trails to see the animals and nature. We like to do picnics, parks, scavenger hunts, outings (museums, farms, etc) feeding the ducks and getting together with another caregiver so the kids can play with other children and develop their social skills in different environments. We sing songs and read stories before nap time each day. I like to teach the children different skills through play and sit down activities. They learn at their pace and are encouraged along the way.
I provide a healthy lunch and 2 snacks for the kids. Sometimes the kids that start early bring their breakfast and eat here.
I have 2 kids of my own who are 15 and 19 years old. They love helping with the daycare kids and interacting with them.
I also was a certified RPN before starting my daycare. I started my daycare so I could be home with my children and I love taking care of little ones so it was the perfect job for me and my family. The kids have loved having other children to grow up with and are still good friends with some that are their age. I have a couple of the older (teens) ones that come back and like to help me in the summer and see all the little ones.
I would love to have another little one join are group and look forward to meeting you if you are looking for daycare :)
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
