Welcome to Discovery Tree Home Daycare located in Lively, Ontario. My name is Megan and I specialize in childcare for children ages one month to five years old. I provide full time and part time care and may also occasionally provide before/after school care and care for older children on PA days depending on availability. I’m trained as a Child and Youth Worker and have over 9 years practical, hands on experience working with children in schools, private and public daycare centers, treatment centers, homeless shelters and more. I am also a very proud mother of a wonderful little girl.
My skill set includes;
•Creativity, I have the creative abilities to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for a group of children of various ages, personalities and learning styles.
•Communication skills, with my experience I have gained excellent verbal communication skills. This enables me to communicate effectively with young children as well as discuss the needs and progress of children with parents.
•Passionate, from a young age I knew my destined profession would involve working with children. I am extremely passionate about my work and being an outstanding childcare provider. I strive to make each day engaging, stimulating and fun! I am dedicated and focused on coming up with new ways to show the children that I care for them deeply.
My goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child, while encouraging social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can feel safe and happy.
I have a large fully fenced, child friendly backyard, equipped with fun and safe playing equipment. I provide well balanced nutritious meals and snacks to your child. For children of all ages I incorporate lots of fun activities into their daily schedule that include arts and crafts, free-play, circle and story time, structured-play, music, song and dance, painting, coloring, various creative and educational projects, and much more. |
