Hi Parents,
Here is a bit about me before I go onto tell you more about my home daycare.
I am a 31 yrs old lady with 6 yrs previous experience working in a home daycare as an assistant and a further 13 yrs experience with babysitting children. I am currently working on my BA Hons in Psychology, which has proved beneficial when working with different types of children. I am moving on from being an assistant as I want to own an home daycare now. However, my previous employer is willing to do back-up for me when I'm off Sick for no additional fees and is only 8 minutes away by car.
I love working with children and all the families that I have worked with has given me excellent references, as well as my employer. I have my First Aid and CPR training on Infants, Children and Adults. Police Check is being updated.
About My Daycare:
My daycare will be similiar to the one I have worked with, as it focuses on making the child feel like they are home, apart of the daycare family and encourages the children to learn through play, crafts, singing, dancing, outings, puzzles, etc... We also, have a morning wake up exercise for the children after Circle time to be ready to start their day. I love to see children happy, laughing and excited to come to daycare so, the children receive special birthday parties and parties for certain occasions. In addition, to this we also, have a picture day on these occasions, which is given to parents.
The children are encouraged to play with age appropriate toys that gets them using their imagination, puzzles that meet their individual abilities, older children are able to go to the crafting area when their creativity wants them too, draw and write on the chalk wall for all to see, post their activities/crafts on the wall, read books, listen to music, and share and play with their friends of all ages.
The children in the daycare will NOT be stuck watching TV or indoors all day. The children will be out for daily walks, trips to the park, adventures, treasure hunting, etc... However, we will have a day set for a short movie as a treat for the children.
I will provide your children with 2 snacks and a lunch, which does not contain nuts and are homemade and nutritious.
**NUT FREE, Smoke-Free, Pet-Free and Very clean environment.**
The spaces in my daycare are able to fit the needs of the families. Therefore, I offer part-time, full-time, temporary care, back-up services for families and their daycare, summer care and before and after school care. I am able to pick-up and drop-off children to the local schools: Birch Cliff PS and/or J G Workman PS.
