I am offering before care and after care and school holidays only. Our huge backyard has a gate that opens onto St Elizabeth Seton's school yard. Our house is a 3 minute walk from the bus stop for the Mazo de la Roche school bus and we are a 13 minute walk to Glen Cedar Public School.
For 4 years, I have been a part-time Outdoor Ed teacher teaching children ages 2-14 a variety of programs on a 100 acre farm. Previously I worked in home day care and local Day Care Centres. I went back to school part-time to obtain my Early Childhood Education Diploma. I completed 18 of the required 23 courses. I had to stop attending school because I became pregnant.
I love helping children explore bugs, animals, plants, gardening, water, rocks and just being outside any time of the year. I enjoy providing children the opportunity to try crayons, water colour painting, finger knitting, baking/cooking and making nature based crafts. I live very close to a small forest and a playground.
For snacks, I cook or bake whole foods from scratch every day.
Come and visit us (my husband Steve, our son Aidan and of course our two dogs Sadie and Kimoni and our cat Sam) and see if we're a good fit for your family.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
