I am a certified primary/junior teacher who is opening my own daycare on Sept. 4, 2014. The Growing Garden is a education through play-based daycare with age-appropriate daily programming. This programming includes gross and fine motor activities, sensory and pretend play opportunities, along with plenty of music, art, and outdoor play. The Growing Garden is also an eco-friendly place and little ones will learn about nature, the environment, food sources, and animals. Furthermore, I am passionate about teaching children to love stories, books, and reading. Early literacy skills will be focused on daily and infants and toddlers will also learn some baby sign language to help them communicate. There is a cat kept in a separate area of the house. Children must not be allergic to cats.
