I am currently a day home provider and have been with the same agency for the past 20 years. I have a Level 3 in E.C.E., Criminal Record Check as well as the Intervention Record Check, First Aid Cert. and references by request.
My day home environment is my residential home with the entire downstairs area devoted to the day home. During our busy day the children can interact and play in a variety of child appropriate settings such as: Crafts, Books, Circle Time, Music, Imaginary Play, Science etc..
During the day there are morning and afternoon snacks provided as well as lunch. Noon meal includes the 4 food groups with each snack providing 2 food groups.
Within the day home there is freedom to explore, make their own choices and interact with others. I respect each child as an individual and therefore create centers and activities that are age appropriate as well as being safe and comfortable within the space.
Admission conditions
Day home has 2 pets: 1 cat and a very small dog. The cat is seldom seen and because of his age is usually sleeping. The dog is very friendly and has been around children her entire life (4yrs.) She is excited to see the children each day, greets them all at the door but is usually out of the way and sleeping also during the rest of the day.
