Thank you for your interest in my day care! I am a mother of 3 kids, ages 15, 12 and 10. I am a former teacher of students with developmental disabilities and kindergarten but I have been doing home day care in Northridge for the past 7 years. I strive to provide a warm and loving family environment for the children in my care. We like to play with toys, read lots of stories, do crafts, sing songs, do puzzles and play outside. I enjoy planning activities based on the kids' interests. They play on the main level of my home where various age-appropriate toys are available. We also have space in the basement where we can play, especially when the weather doesn't permit us to get outdoors. We often attend play group at North Park Community Church.
The children nap in play pens upstairs in our bedrooms. I provide a nutritious morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. If children arrive before my kids have had breakfast, some will join us for breakfast too! I have a fenced in backyard with a play set and sandbox as well as other outdoor toys. We live on a safe and quiet court.
I issue tax receipts yearly. References are available. I have a smoke-free home. Rates for teachers are available.
