My name is Jo-Ann; I own a daycare in Embrun. I consider my daycare more directed too; “preschool, readiness for preparing little ones for preschool.”
• My goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow at their own pace. I believe children learn through roll play, imagination and plenty of outside play.
• My care is set with a daily routine and schedule, I believe children need this direction in their life. My days are set with hour to hour activities, outing, crafts, roll playing, reading, learning, outdoor activities and learning. This will be shared more into detail on a match visit with your family and child.
• I serve one lunch and two snacks which include milk/ water daily. All food is prepared the evening before and prepared with homemade directly from my menu cards. All snacks are served with high quality fresh fruit, veggies and baked foods through my menu cards.
I work strongly with the children, a program called “ELECT”, this course was given from an agency and I received the certificate when finished.
Early Learning for Every Child Today
Social Emotional; this is how I fell, the activity will allow children to express both positive and negative emotions. By sharing emotions, children will see the world from another point of view and may begin to identify with others.
Fine Motor Skills; this activity exercises the muscles in children's hands and arms to develop skills and coordination with using scissors. Allow children to cut the paper with scissors. Younger children can rip and crumple the paper. This too is a wonderful way to help develop the muscles in their hands and arms.
Large Motor Skills; This activity helps develop large muscles and helps children to develop coordination in their arms and legs.
Cognitive; This activity helps children think about how things are the same or different. It helps children to get ready for counting and learning about colors.
With all this resource of "Social Emotional, Fine Motor Skills, Large Motor Skills and Cognitive we will be including to our circle time, craft time and other activity throughout the day. Working with; paint, play dough, pom poms, balls, scissors, glue and much more.
I use sensory bin for most of these activates.
• My home daycare will open as of June 1, 2015; I'm welcoming the age group ages from “ one year olds to ten year olds. “

There is a cat in the home Daycare at all times. He is vaccinated yearly. Please also keep in mine that although my cat is friendly he is still an animal and has the right to defend himself if he feels threaten |
