I am a family day home caregiver operating in the Richfield/Millbourne area of Millwoods, Edmonton. I have part time spots available. Hours of operation are 8.00am - 5pm. Variable hours in the proximity of the stated time frame can be arranged upon request. My training and background is in law, but my calling and passion is for children. I have over 25 years experience caring for children of all ages in my home privately and in several volunteer capacities. I am a passionate mother of 3 grade school children (17, 12 & 8) and was a stay-home mum until my last child went into G2 this school year. Every child entrusted to my care will receive exceptional care and training in a loving, warm, safe, clean and nurturing environment. Beulahland is a pet and smoke free day home. I provide ample variety of mostly home-cooked meals and healthy snacks, with water or milk as drink options. My focus is to create a comfortable home setting where play and arts and crafts activities occur in a traditional play room where children learn-through-play. Children will also be encouraged to participate in structured and unstructured/flexible educational instruction that is appropriate for their age and development level. Children are allowed to move around freely in my home with supervision and safety barriers, so they are not confined to one area. Children will also be exposed to a lot of reading materials, music, puppetry. I do not encourage screen time but I will offer screen time, however, I will occasionally offer wholesome/educational material via screen. Weather permitting, we will have daily outdoor play on the deck or in our small bur secure community play ground. I have standard child care First Aid/CPR certification, police clearance and references are available if required. I look forward to having the privilege of sharing in the care of your child/ren. |
