Hello and welcome to The Garden School!
The Garden School is an arts based preschool in London, Ontario. It's located in my safe and loving home. I'm Miss. Maureen, an Ontario certified primary/junior teacher going on 14 years now. I've taught preschool, junior kindergarten, senior kindergarten, grade one and more, but my passion and niche is preschool. I'm also musically trained, a visual artist and have recently created and taught peace and empathy programs to the primary grades. These subjects will be incorporated in The Garden School's curriculum and programs. You can learn more about me by clicking the "Miss Maureen" link in the "About" section of the website. I'm thrilled to be living now in the beautiful city of London and excited to offer my teaching expertise and my love for early education to your children!
The goal of The Garden School is to create an environment for children that encourages their wonder, curiosity and excitement about the fascinating world around us. We learn through play, arts-based projects while weaving in all of the interdisciplinary subjects including science, math, language arts, social studies, health and physical education. Children will graduate from The Garden School's Preschool program excited about school, the learning process and they will have a wonderful foundation for life long learning.
The Garden School preschool program accepts children ages 1 year to 5 years old, who are potty trained. Before and after school care is available for school aged children who are 4 years to 8 years old. Overnight child care in the evenings and weekends is available for children 2 years (out of diapers) to 8 years old.
