Daycare was established in 2015.
Large home (2500sqft + basement) bright and spacious. I have a fully finished basement, brightly painted (with dri-core floor base under the new carpet for added warmth), a huge playroom, a theatre room, a nap room and a full washroom. The main floor daycare space includes a kitchen and kid-friendly family room.
I ensure the kids have time outside almost every day, as weather permits. We have a swing set and slide, a water table, sandbox, a turtle pool for little people, plus lots of other choices! Neighbourhood walks are part of our daily exercise especially in the winter months.
Fuel for our busy days will consist of lunch and snacks. Meals are geared to the little people - I love to make food especially bread, muffins, and smoothies. Daily nutrition includes lots of fruit and veggies, whole foods, and minimally processed snacks. We are mostly free of white flour and sugar. I use whole grains (breads etc) and whole wheat pasta, I make my own pasta sauce too.
Daycare activities vary week to week and month to month. We have sensory bins that are changed out periodically. We love to do crafts to celebrate holidays and special days. Toys are rotated into and out of our play routine. Lots of activities and toys to foster free play. We also do our own versions of learning colors, our names, and so much more.
We do have 2 large family dogs - always friendly and welcoming. They love being around the kids.
Daycare is provided Monday to Friday until 5pm.
Schedules will be discussed on an individual basis. |
