I have a multi aged family child care facility that is offered in my home, which has been license for 27 years. Here at Bunny Hutch I believe that a childcare should provide an environment where a child can grow in all ways, physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. I believe that children learn through play and it is through play that they learn about themselves and the world. It is also through this play that they gain self esteem ,independence and social skills. I have a flexible schedule and have themes based activities that we work on each month. Which may vary due to the children's interest During our day we provide time for free play as well as structured play, art, music, math and science activities and time to learn about the world around us. We are involved in a weekly gym program as well as a music program. Field trips such as Maple wood Farms the Aquarium, pumpkin patch, beach and of course the woods and the lake which are just down the end of our street are taken to enhance the themes we are working on. I have a secure large back yard that has space for riding bikes, digging in the sand, climbing and running and space where we can blow bubbles and just have fun. We provide toast and cereal before 8:30am as well as 2 nutritious snacks a day. Each month we have a special lunch which the children get to have a little bit of input on what we have is provided. Food allergies are taken in consideration for all the food provided. These special lunches are always a welcome treat to the parents as well as the children.
