I have a private Dayhome in Thorncliffe NW. I have a degree in recreation and leadership, a masters in community and disability studies and various Child Development and Child Psychology courses and am a Certified Child Life Specialist at the Alberta Children's Hospital. I have been working with children for over 15 years.
My philosophy is to treat the children in my care as my own, we go do outings and experience what the city has to offer including library programs, the zoo, splash parks in the summer, playgrounds, playdates and other fun activities. I incorporate learning into our activities including but not limited to social skills, letter and number recognition, colours, matching.
We are out and about a fair bit meeting up with other families and kids and participating in fun new experiences. We also do crafts, bake and cook together. We always have books available and read together at least once a day.
I offer full time, part time and daily rates.
I also do pick up and drop off at St. Margaret's school but am flexible on other schools depending on location and times.
Admission conditions
We have a cat (but she usually stays on the upper level of the house but will come say hi everyone once in a while).
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
Updates
We expect providers to keep their listing and available openings up-to-date. However, to prevent oversights, openings expire after 45 days.
