Hi my name is Debbie I have 10 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) in licensed daycares, six years as an in home daycare provider, and four years experience as a Primary/Junior Public School Teacher (BEd) with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
I offer a warm, loving, safe, creative, and nurturing environment which enables all children to grow and develop as unique and healthy individuals. My focus is on the development and enrichment of the “whole child” which involves meeting the developmental needs of every child as he/she grows socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.
I provide learning opportunities for children through play and exploration. Play is a child’s opportunity for learning, “play is a child’s work.”
I provide a lot of outdoor play (two parks) and a fenced yard. We have a small garden for the children to grow their own fruits and veggies. Discovery and exploration are encouraged as the children learn to respect the natural world.
I have a large bright playroom for the children were we engage in a wide variety of fun, interesting, challenging and developmentally appropriate activities. We do daily circle time and reading. I also provides two healthy snacks and lunch.
