Personal Profile
I am a childcare provider with over 15 years of experience taking care of children of all ages. I live in Greenwood Park (the eastern end of Kingston) with my husband and two children. I am a warm, loving person who truly enjoys raising the leaders of tomorrow. I believe every child is a gift, meant to be treasured and reared with love and patience.
Daily Activities
My daycare incorporates physical exercise, such as playing outside, going for walks and playing in the local park (5mins walk from my home). In addition, we also do many indoor activities such as reading books, colouring, playing with all sorts of puzzles (jigsaws, blocks, etc.) and creating many diverse pieces of artwork (these vary depending on the season). Spoken language is acquired through speaking, singing and rhyming. Numbers, letters and words (colours, animals, shapes etc.) are emphasized.
Health and Safety
I have a pet and smoke free house. I have up to date First Aid and CPR certification, as well as a police checkup. There are designated fire exits which the children are made aware of. All smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are working and up to date. In the past I worked for Kingston daycare and my house was approved for childcare by the City of Kingston, and by the Fire Department of Kingston. Two nutritional snacks as well as one lunch are provided for the children.
Availability
Currently, I have two full time spots available in April. I will have a further two spots which will need to be filled for September. (Three of my children will be starting school in September). Feel free to contact me with any inquiries. References are available upon request. |
