I am a mother of 1 with a background in Early Childhood Education. I am first aid and CPR trained and have many years experience working with children from 0-11 years of age in licensed child care facilities. I graduated from the ECE program at Conestoga college where my courses included curriculum development, extensive training in child development and hands on training in all age groups, just to name a few. Since graduating I have been working as an infant-toddler teacher and as the centre supervisor in a licensed child care facility. While there, I built many strong and lasting relationships with the children in my care and their families. After having my daughter this past October I have decided to stay home and open a daycare in my home. I currently have 2 1 year olds enroled and 1 full or part time opening left. I am willing to take in full or part time children between the ages of 1-6. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality of early childhood care and learning for each child in my care. I believe that play is the central activity of early childhood learning and that fun and learning are parallel. When children enjoy their day they grow and learn naturally and therefore I will expose them to many creative and fun opportunities to enhance their skills in all developmental areas. Admission conditions
*Rates for part time care is as follows: $40/day for full days 4 days a week or less; $30/day for half days with lunch; $25/day for half days no lunch; and $175/week is the rate for full time 5 days a week ($35/day). Discounts will be arranged for families with more then 1 child enrolled. Receipts provided.
*Tours of the centre can be arranged. To hold a spot for your child I require a deposit equal to 2 weeks worth of care. This deposit will be used towards your last 2 weeks of care.
*I have 2 VERY friendly Labs. They have been around children since they were puppies and are great with my 10 month old daughter. They will however be kept out of the playarea for the peace of mind of the parents who are uncomfortable with dogs.
