Sweet Dreams Baby Care is a licensed, teacher-friendly home day care in Elmira.
We have some spots opening up for new playmates!!
There are never more than six kids scheduled at one time so we all get lots of attention, positive encouragement, hugs and kisses.
We love going out every day in our big “stroller bus”. The five-seat stroller ensures that we are all safely buckled into our own seats for walks to all the different area parks, toy libraries, play groups, senior centers and special events. Our caregiver never drives with the kids so our parents don’t have to worry about that.
There is a large indoor play area with age- appropriate toys so we can all have fun at free-play time. We often do fun arts and crafts. Our caregiver does not turn on the TV and only plays DVD’s when it’s raining outside at outdoor time or at quiet time for older kids that don’t need to nap.
Our yard is securely fenced with see-through panels so we can still watch things going on outside of the play area. We have a sandbox with clean, cool, damp sand to dig in. It gets covered up every time we are finished using it. There is very little shade in our yard so our caregiver always helps us apply lots of sunscreen and makes us wear our hats when we are out. We also have a Little Tykes climber and slide, and when the days are very hot, we are allowed to splash in a water table and run in the sprinklers!
The menu for the week is posted in the entryway and emailed to our parents in advance so they know what we will be eating for lunches and snacks every day. Our caregiver does her best to provide healthy, home-cooked meals.
Oh, and every day, we help our caregiver write a story in our journal about what we did that day so we can take it home for Mommy and Daddy to read! She also uses an app called SeeSaw to communicate with our parents. We sometimes have fun making videos and sharing pictures of what we are doing each day.
