I have worked in the childcare field for 24 years. I worked at a daycare centre for 5 years and have been doing home daycare for the last 19 years(since having my own 3 boys). My daycare is a safe, loving and educational environment. My program provides care for children 10 months to 4 years of age. I have a large playroom broken up into an art area, book corner, everyday living, sensory and floor play areas. My daycare program has a weekly theme such as transportation, nutrition, dinosaur week....the activities are programmed according to the weekly theme. We have circle time each day. It is a mostly English speaking daycare but do teach letters, numbers, colours, shapes...in French as well. We are also outside each day, weather permitting. My backyard is fenced in with a costco playstructure, two climbers, a sandbox, water table etc. We also visit the local parks. I write daily reports each day for parents explaining what their child has done throughout their day.
