Maggie's Home Away from Home Daycare is a private in home daycare located in Ottawa's South Keys and Hunt Club area. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child; fostering intellectual and emotional development through a friendly, fun and stimulating environment.
Our doors open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5pm, our services include daily activities such as arts and crafts, circle time, outdoor play, story time, dress up, puppet shows, show and tell, songs and dance, just to name a few. We provide two healthy and nutritional snacks and a lunch. I hope to make your family a member of Maggie’s Home Away from Home Daycare family.

I am a childcare provider with over 18 years of experience working with children and families. I graduated from Algonquin College with a Social Service Worker Diploma. Upon graduation, I had a career as a Social Service Worker and shortly after, I got married. This is when I decided to open my own in home daycare, as I knew that when I had children, I wanted to be at home with them. Opening my own daycare allowed me to continue doing what I love and be at home with my children. Maggie’s Home Away from Home Daycare opened its doors in 2007 and since then I have had two children of my own, my two daughters. I truly love what I do and have had the privilege of working for incredible families over the years. Every family that I work for is respected, listened to and given my utmost care and attention; creating open lines of communication and ease. Every child that I care for is nurtured, treasured and given the opportunity to learn, play and grow through a multitude of intellectual and stimulating daily activities.
Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR certified with St. John Ambulance
- Police Check Completed
- Successfully completed Anaphylaxis Training & Summer Emergencies Training
- Member of the Child Care Providers Resource Network
- Graduated from Algonquin College with a Social Service Worker Diploma |
