Welcome, my name is Viktoria Crawford and I am the proud founder and owner of Lake Pointe Home Day Care. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator and Certified Ontario Teacher. With numerous years of experience as an ECE in the classroom and as a On-Site Supervisor I understand the dynamics of a child care setting. I have studied Child Development and understand the unique dynamics of a child’s life.
I am married to my Husband Greg and we have a daughter Charlotte. While on maternity leave it occurred to me that returning to work in a child care center was not the best path for me and my family. I have decided to share my love for children and knowledge of Early Learning through a home based setting where I can continue to care for my daughter while showing her and your children the wonderful opportunities that await.
Philosophy
At Lake Pointe Home Day Care I strive for an environment that is warm and welcoming, a place where your child feels safe and secure. Through play based learning your child will be given opportunities to engage in activities of their choice. Your child will develop and grow as an individual through activities that have been created based on their interests and developmental needs.
Your child will be free to use their imagination and natural instincts to inquire about the world around them. Through interactions with nature, peers, and their surrounding environment your child will have an opportunity to develop life skills. Throughout the day there will be opportunities for social gatherings, art, singing and dancing, story telling, sensory exploration, outdoor play and so much more.
