Hi my name is Tanya. I have over 14 years experience working with children 4 months - 12 years old in 2 childcare centres in Oakville. My family and I are moving to Waterdown in June. We have 2 children ( almost 3 and 6 months)
I'm an ECE who graduated from Sheridan College and I am registered through the College of ECE's.. With our new adventure moving to a new town I have decided to open up my own centre.
I have my 1st aid and CPR as well as a criminal reference check. That is the positive of being registered through the college of ECEs they look into all of that for you and give re assurance for families and centres by just presenting a card.
I believe in having a warm environment where I will br treating the children as I would my own.
My hours will be 7:30-5:30 Monday through Friday.
I focus on play based learned geared around children's interest where they learn through exploration of the materials given as well as activities available.
I believe children thrive on routine and will be having a structured routine that consists of 2 hours a day with gross motor play outside .. Creative and sensory daily.. Free play .. Circle time consisting of show and share, stories, educational activities that will teach the children shapes, colours,numbers etc... I will be teaching the alphabet through jolly phonics. I will be teaching toilet training as well as self help skills.
A nutritious lunch will be provided as well As a morning and afternoon snack
A parent board will be available to view the meal plan as well as daily info sheets, calendar of special dates etc
