Dear Eliza’s Daycare is located near Lyon’s Park and the riverside trail that connects Victoria Road and the covered bridge. Our home has a fenced-in backyard with a garden, deck, and play space featuring a sandbox, climbing gym, slide, water table and plenty of toys.
If you want your child to spend their days in a loving, homey environment surrounded by song and laughter, and want your child to receive the best care while enjoying daily outdoor adventures and planned activities, this is a place worth your consideration. My ultimate goal is to provide the best care for your child’s social, intellectual, physical and emotional growth in the comfort and nurture of a caring family setting.
Within the structured yet flexible framework of this play-based program all areas of child development will be covered. This includes: circle time, stories, songs and group activities, arts and crafts, fine motor and cognitive enriching activities, sensory and dramatic play, outdoor free play as well as adventures down the trail and to the parks or splash pad.
I have been a Mommy for 3 years now, a ‘bonus-mom’ for 6, and a Child and Youth Worker for about 10 years. Beyond this, I have experience working as a nanny, coordinating the childcare area at the Hillside festival for 5 years as well as teaching Sunday school. My professional experience has been dominated by working with youth considered ‘at risk’, and have found that the skills and strategies used working with this population incredibly transferable and effective with rearing small children. I have a clean criminal reference check, up to date First Aid and CPR training, as well as references available upon request.
This home day care is a smoke free environment equipped with all necessary baby safety gates and precautions.
Another important element to your child’s day is the food served each day. I take pride is preparing snacks and meals that are home-made, healthy and well-balanced.
The program runs from 8am until 5pm to accommodate most schedules, however, I can be flexible to work with parents who have differing needs.

We currently have one part time position open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for a child who will be 2 as of January 1st, 2016.
Full-time rate: $36.00
